Strategic Alliances are so effective because one of the most reliable ways to grow your business is…
To get other people to help grow it for you!
Why would other people want to help you to grow your business you may ask? It’s quite simple really…
By helping them grow theirs too!
In simple terms, this means creating relationships with specific people and businesses that sell to the same buyers you do, but offer a different solution.
You don’t compete with each other, you complement each other.
The reason Strategic Alliances partnerships are so effective can be summed up with my own twist on a well versed sayin…
“Give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.
Leverage a crew, and you’ll feed the entire village for generations”
That’s really what you’re doing with a Strategic Alliance. You’re leveraging a crew.
When applying this concept to a business, a Strategic Alliance is an arrangement that will be of mutual benefit between two (or more) people, businesses or companies (aka your crew) who have complementary resources or assets that can be leveraged.
What do I mean by resources or assets?
I mean products, services, machinery, equipment, buildings, unused capacity and a client list (or mailing list) that can be leveraged by the owner or whoever approaches the owner with a Strategic Alliance proposal.
In an ideal partnership, you benefit not only from adding value for your customers but lowering costs as well. That’s why every strategic alliance partnership is ultimately an act of leveraging costs versus return.
Just think what would happen to your growth if you could regularly get in front of 100, 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 ideal, potential clients?
And you can do this without spending a penny on advertising?
And you can add entirely new revenue streams to your business, without having to add any additional overhead or even fulfil on the service or deliver a product…
That’s what you can do with Strategic Alliances and why it’s the marketing strategy that consistently outperforms everything by a long way!
